Australian actress Teresa Palmer has welcomed her fifth child, a baby girl named Lotus Bloom Palmer, with husband Mark Webber. The newborn arrived Friday morning after a home waterbirth, weighing 8 pounds 2 ounces (3.7 kilograms) and entering the world at about 5:40 a.m. Palmer, 39, announced the news on Instagram to her 1.2 million followers.

Palmer and Webber are already parents to Bodhi Rain (11), Forest Sage (8), Poet Lake (5) and Prairie Moon (3). Palmer is also a stepmother to Webber's teenage son, Isaac Love, whom he shares with ex Frankie Shaw.

In the Instagram post, Palmer shared several photos showing the family with the newborn. She noted the baby arrived on Friday morning after a home waterbirth and included the measurements: 8 pounds 2 ounces (3.7 kilograms). She also listed the time of birth as 5:40 a.m. and credited her birth team Libby Lamb, Julie Schiller and Jerusha Sutton for supporting the delivery.

Palmer revealed the newborn's name Lotus Bloom Palmer in the caption and described the moment as part of a larger family milestone, noting three girls and three boys now populate the household.

Friends and fans offered congratulations, with Lindy Klim and Megan Gale among those commenting, and AFL WAG Lauren Brant expressing happiness for the couple.

Webber and Palmer were married in 2013, while Palmer was pregnant with their first child, continuing a partnership that has grown to five children over more than a decade.

The birth adds to Palmer's public profile as a leading figure in Australian culture and entertainment, and the family is frequently covered in entertainment coverage in Australia and beyond.
