The official trailer for the upcoming fourth season of Apple TV+'s "Ted Lasso" has been released, offering a glimpse into Ted's return to Richmond and his new challenge coaching a women's football team. The highly anticipated season is set to premiere on Wednesday, August 5.
The synopsis for "Ted Lasso" Season 4 reveals Ted taking on his "biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women's football team." The season will follow Ted and his new team as they learn to "leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would."
Several returning cast members are confirmed for Season 4, including Jason Sudeikis as Ted Lasso, Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift. The season will also introduce new characters portrayed by Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Grant Feely, among others.
The trailer showcases Ted's reunion with Roy Kent and coach Alice Chilton, played by Reynolds. It also features glimpses of Lizzie, played by Faye Marsay, and Rebecca's relationship with Matthijs, her Dutch partner. The soundtrack features Mumford & Sons' "Run Together."
A previous teaser released in April offered a look at Ted back in action, with his wife and son in attendance at a game. It also hinted at Roy and Keeley confronting their feelings and featured Tracey Ullman.
Filming for Season 4 took place in London and Kansas City, with some AFC Richmond members visiting Ted in his hometown for barbecue. This season follows a Season 3 finale that left viewers with mixed reactions about the series' resolution and future.
"Ted Lasso" Season 4 will premiere with one episode on August 5, followed by new episodes released every Wednesday until October 7 on Apple TV+.
