The highly anticipated fourth season of "Ted Lasso" is set to premiere on Apple TV+ on August 5, with new episodes releasing weekly through October 7. The series, which has garnered critical acclaim and a dedicated following, will continue the story of the optimistic American football coach.

Season 4 picks up after the events of the Season 3 finale, which saw Ted Lasso, portrayed by Jason Sudeikis, return to his home in Kansas City. However, the new installment builds on a pivotal moment from the previous season's conclusion: Keeley Jones, played by Juno Temple, presented AFC Richmond owner Rebecca Welton (Hannah Waddingham) with a proposal to establish a women's team. Ted is expected to return to Richmond to coach the newly formed Lady Greyhounds, with Coach Beard (Brendan Hunt) by his side once more.

The returning cast includes Emmy Award winners Hannah Waddingham and Brett Goldstein, alongside Juno Temple reprising her role. Jason Sudeikis is confirmed to continue as Ted Lasso, and Brendan Hunt will return as Coach Beard. Other familiar faces slated to reappear include Jeremy Swift as Leslie Higgins. Notably, Ted's son, Henry, has been recast and will now be played by Grant Feely.

This season introduces a host of new characters for the Lady Greyhounds, including Tanya Reynolds as Coach Alice Chilton, Abbie Hern as striker Gemma, and Jude Mack as goaltender Boots. Faye Marsay and Aisling Sharkey will play defenders Lizzie and Niamh, respectively, with Rex Hayes also joining as a defender. Mercedes Assad, Shannon, and Annelise Heywood will also be part of the new team.

It remains uncertain whether characters like Phil Dunster's Jamie Tartt and Nick Mohammed's Nathan Shelley will make appearances in Season 4. Dunster departed as a series regular prior to the season, but guest appearances are still a possibility.

"Ted Lasso" Season 4 will consist of ten episodes. While new episodes are officially listed with Wednesday release dates, Apple TV+ typically makes them available for streaming around 9:00 p.m. ET the night before their listed premiere date. The first episode is titled "Home."

To watch "Ted Lasso," a subscription to Apple TV+ is required. The streamer offers a seven-day free trial for new users. Additionally, Amazon Prime members can subscribe to Apple TV+ through Prime Video for the same monthly cost, which also includes a seven-day free trial and allows streaming within the Prime Video app.
