Wedding festivities for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce reportedly commenced Thursday evening at Madison Square Garden in New York City. A Chevrolet Suburban SUV believed to be carrying Swift was observed arriving at the venue around 5 p.m., according to a Reuters photograph.
The first event, with an estimated 100 guests, was scheduled to begin at the arena around 6 p.m. Details surrounding the festivities have been kept private.
Earlier on Thursday, Swift and Kelce donated $26 million to various charities, a representative for Swift confirmed to ABC News. City Harvest, a New York City-based food rescue organization, announced it received a $1 million donation from the couple. Jilly Stephens, CEO of City Harvest, stated in a press release that the donation is "a love letter to New York, and a bold commitment to our efforts to ensure that no New Yorker goes hungry."
A second event is planned for Friday at the arena, featuring a cocktail hour starting around 4 p.m. Sources anticipate approximately 1,000 attendees, with the event continuing until 4 a.m. Saturday. Both events are reportedly operating under a strict no-phone policy for all individuals present, including guests, vendors, and security staff.
To accommodate the events, portions of West 31st Street and West 33rd Street have been closed to both vehicles and pedestrians. The NYPD announced street closures around Madison Square Garden, affecting traffic and access to Moynihan Train Hall and Penn Station. Tents and canopies are expected to be erected to obscure views of attendees entering and exiting the venue.
Preparations for the events were visible earlier in the week, with trucks outside the arena loading equipment labeled "Garden Party" and workers seen rolling out a red carpet.
Swift and Kelce have been publicly linked since 2023, when Kelce, a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, attended one of Swift's Eras Tour shows. The singer first attended a Chiefs game in September 2023 and later supported Kelce at Super Bowl LVIII. The couple announced their engagement on August 26, 2025.
