Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are preparing for a multi-day wedding celebration that will span two distinct events at Madison Square Garden, according to a report from The New York Times. The couple, both 36, are expected to tie the knot over the July 3rd weekend, with an intimate gathering scheduled for July 2.
This initial event is anticipated to host approximately 100 close friends and family members. The following day, a more expansive celebration is planned for around 1,000 guests, which could potentially feature onstage performances.
Reps for Kelce and Swift have not yet responded to requests for comment.
Page Six first reported in April that the couple intended to marry over the July 3rd weekend. Earlier this month, it was confirmed that the nuptials would take place at Madison Square Garden, a venue where Swift has previously performed numerous sold-out shows. Sources cited privacy as a primary concern in choosing the unconventional location, with guests reportedly invited by phone to prevent leaks.
Measures are reportedly being taken to accommodate the event, including permit applications for street closures around the venue and the setup of a public tent outside. Some of Kelce's Kansas City Chiefs teammates have reportedly made hotel reservations in Midtown around the wedding dates.
Tight end George Kittle, a teammate of Kelce's, humorously shared his uncertainty about the location, telling Entertainment Tonight that when he asked Kelce if it was at Madison Square Garden, Kelce "laughed." Kittle speculated he might be expecting to be flown to a different location.
Swift and Kelce have been in a relationship since the summer of 2023 and announced their engagement last August.
