Taylor Swift made a surprise appearance Tuesday night at Tight End University (TEU) in Nashville, performing a rendition of her hit song "Love Story" alongside country music star Lainey Wilson. The event, co-hosted by Swift's fiancé, NFL player Travis Kelce, marks a notable moment just days before the couple's highly anticipated wedding.
During her performance at The Pinnacle in Nashville, Tennessee, Swift drew attention by flashing her engagement ring. The moment occurred during the bridge of "Love Story," as she sang the lyric, "He knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring," before smirking and lifting her left hand to display the adorned ring finger. Swift wore a strapless black midi dress with a silver fringed hem for the performance.
Swift dedicated the song to George Kittle, a tight end and co-founder of TEU, stating it was a special request from him. "He wanted to hear this particular song and that tight end … is named George Kittle," she told the crowd.
Prior to the concert, Swift also joined Kelce on the red carpet at the opening event of TEU on Monday evening. She attended the event alongside Claire Kittle, wife of George Kittle, and Talbot Olsen, daughter of TEU co-founder Greg Olsen. Kelce, a Kansas City Chiefs star, co-hosts the annual three-day summit with Kittle and Olsen, which brings together tight ends from various levels of football for film study, on-field work, and social events.
TEU has become a notable event on the NFL calendar, attracting league stars and their partners. Swift previously made a surprise appearance at last year's TEU event.
The singer recently hosted a bachelorette-style party for friends at her Rhode Island compound. Reports suggest Swift and Kelce's wedding is planned for the coming weeks, with a reception reportedly being organized at New York City's Madison Square Garden for an estimated 1,000 guests.
Kelce attended the TEU event following his own bachelor party celebrations, which included multiple events in Los Angeles and a visit to NASCAR's first race at Naval Base Coronado in San Diego. Kelce is expected to return for the start of Chiefs training camp on July 29.
