Jonathan Anderson, the creative director for Christian Dior's haute couture, concluded his Fall/Winter 2026-27 collection with a sweeping white bridal gown that quickly drew comparisons to pop superstar Taylor Swift.
Fans on social media noted the resemblance of the off-the-shoulder, diaphanous dress, adorned with embroidered ferns and flowers, to Swift's personal style. The designer had recently dressed Swift for her wedding to Travis Kelce.
The ceremony, which took place at Madison Square Garden, saw Swift wed Kelce in custom Christian Dior Haute Couture. Although official images of Swift's wedding gown have not yet been released, fashion observers have been scrutinizing Anderson's recent designs for clues.
Anderson, who also founded JW Anderson and previously worked at Loewe, took the helm at Dior last year. His haute couture shows traditionally end with a bridal look. Prior to dressing Swift, Anderson's atelier had created couture wedding dresses for model Ming Xi and influencer Elisa Zarzur. His debut couture show for Dior in January also featured a white gown embellished with petals.
The event for Swift and Kelce transformed Madison Square Garden into a garden-themed setting for their approximately 1,000 guests, a detail that aligns with the botanical motifs seen in Anderson's recent runway presentations.
