Taylor Swift's aunt, Robin Gentry, has shared intimate details from the pop star's private wedding ceremony to NFL player Travis Kelce, describing it as a deeply emotional event.
"They cried, and they laughed, and they danced, and they hugged and they kissed," Gentry told LBC News as she departed the celebration. She also confirmed a "nice cake" was served among a generous spread.
The wedding, which took place at Madison Square Garden, was attended by approximately 1,000 guests, including numerous celebrities. AMC CEO Adam Aron, who was present, described the venue's transformation into a "secret garden" with peach and white drapery, large photos of the couple through the years, and real flowers. "Somehow magically, someone created an outdoor garden at a lush countryside retreat," Aron noted in a now-deleted post on X.
Sources indicate the vows exchanged were personal and emotional. Aron characterized them as "long, entertaining, personal, charming, emotional, irreverent and endearing explorations by each as to how they met, why they want to be with each other for all eternity, the promises they made in joining their much-beloved two whole families (Kelce’s and Swift’s) as one, and committing to their new mutual life together."
Swift's brother, Austin Swift, served as her "man of honor," while Travis Kelce's brother, Jason Kelce, acted as best man. Jason Kelce's daughters were the flower girls. The guest list featured notable figures such as Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Lena Dunham, Dakota Johnson, Steven Spielberg, Beyoncé, and Jay-Z. Karlie Kloss and Joshua Kushner were also reportedly in attendance. Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony, which guests described as both funny and touching.
Swift and Kelce were dressed in Christian Dior. The ceremony concluded with billboards outside the venue announcing their marriage.
This private event followed months of speculation and rumors surrounding the couple's relationship. The wedding's intimate atmosphere, despite the large venue, was a recurring theme in guest accounts.
