The espionage thriller "Lioness," created by Taylor Sheridan, returns for its third season on Paramount+ on August 2. The new season, consisting of eight episodes, will release weekly through September 20.
Season 3 promises to bring the "Lionesses" into their "most dangerous mission yet," according to Paramount. The plot will explore "hidden networks, foreign operatives, and personal betrayals" as Joe, portrayed by Zoe Saldaña, navigates the complexities of her duty and personal life amidst unseen threats. Guided by Kaitlyn (Nicole Kidman) and Byron Westfield (Michael Kelly), Joe will confront adversaries operating in the shadows, with the conflict extending into all aspects of her life.
The premiere episode, titled "The Spider and the Fly," is available starting at 3 a.m. ET / 12 a.m. PT on Paramount+. Subsequent episodes will follow the same weekly release schedule.
"Lioness" is a streaming exclusive on Paramount+. The service offers two subscription plans: an ad-supported option for $8.99 per month and an ad-free version for $13.99 per month. Both plans provide access to the series. Viewers can also subscribe through Amazon Prime Video add-on subscriptions, which may offer a seven-day free trial of the ad-free plan.
The cast for Season 3 includes returning actors Zoe Saldaña and Nicole Kidman, alongside Laysla De Oliveira as Cruz Manuelos, Dave Annable as Dr. Neal McNamara, Jill Wagner as Bobby LaMonica, and Michael Kelly as Byron Westfield. Morgan Freeman also reprises his role as U.S. Secretary of State Edwin Mullins.
