Co-creator Taylor Sheridan is reportedly "pissed" about actor Ed Harris' complaints regarding his role in the "Yellowstone" spinoff "Dutton Ranch," according to a source cited by the Daily Mail.

Despite the reported frustration, Harris is slated to remain on the show and his part will be expanded. "He is getting more time even though he pissed Taylor Sheridan off with his comments," the insider told the Daily Mail. "But Taylor does what he says he is going to do; a promise is a promise."

The source added that Sheridan intends to give Harris more screen time as initially planned so that the actor "can shut up now." The insider also characterized Harris as having a "really big ego" and being "prickly," though acknowledging his strong on-screen presence.

Harris, who portrays veterinarian Everett McKinney, publicly expressed his "frustration" last month in an interview with Variety. He stated that he had asked his team to "get him the f--k out of" the series midway through filming its first season. The actor felt "a little bit misled," as he was initially told he would be one of the four main characters, which he claimed was "not really the case."

Harris reportedly felt his concerns about his "inconsequential" role were dismissed. He also stated he was "really pissed off" when a promised scene was cut, citing the explanation that it was "too up for the dark ending of that episode." This incident led him to consider voiding his contract.

Despite the reported behind-the-scenes tension, Harris is contracted for Season 2 of "Dutton Ranch," with filming scheduled to begin next year. The series also features Cole Hauser, Kelly Reilly, and Annette Bening.
