Taylor Sheridan, the creative force behind the hit television series "Yellowstone," has officially shut down rumors of a potential spinoff focused on the 6666 ranch. Speculation had been rife that a series centered on the character Jimmy, who was relocated to the Texas ranch in the show, was in the works.

Sheridan explained in a recent interview that he has no intention of fictionalizing the 6666 ranch, which he owns and where real people work and raise their families. He described the idea of a spinoff as potentially "trivializing" the lives and work of those at the ranch.

"There’s never going to be one. I would never fictionalize that ranch… Because at some point, what you have to do to sustain it," Sheridan stated. He noted that he had compiled scenes of Jimmy's time at the Four Sixes ranch into a "perfect little movie" that shows his character's growth, but this would not translate into a full series.

While a dedicated 6666 spinoff is off the table, Sheridan emphasized that the "Yellowstone" universe is still expanding. The anthology series "1883" was a success, and another prequel, tentatively titled "1944," is reportedly still in development.

Gil Birmingham, who stars in "Yellowstone" and the spinoff "Lawmen: Bass Reeves," previously told Fox News Digital that the shows represent different genres that are "mixing together," hinting at the distinct tones within Sheridan's interconnected television projects.

Sheridan's decision to not fictionalize the 6666 ranch underscores his respect for the authenticity of the Western setting and the real individuals involved in its operation.
