Sydney Sweeney captured attention in a glittering sequin backless dress as she attended the Armani Beauty dinner during the Venice Film Festival on Thursday. The American actress, 27, was a prominent figure at the exclusive event held at the Royal Gardens.
Although Sweeney does not have any film projects to promote at this year's festival, she is expected to represent the brand alongside Kendall Jenner on red carpets throughout the event. The actress wore a plunging neckline ensemble for the dinner.
Earlier in the day, Sweeney was seen on a gondola ride with her boyfriend, talent manager and record executive Scooter Braun. Sweeney, 28, wore a white summer dress with a yellow jumper draped over her shoulders, and she was seen kissing Braun, 45. Braun, who was previously married to Yael Cohen, with whom he shares three children, appeared in blue shorts, a white shirt, and a baseball cap.
The couple has been romantically linked since September 2025. Prior to their Venice trip, they were observed together in Los Angeles with Braun's children: Jagger Joseph, 11; Levi Magnus, nine; and Hart Violet, seven. Sweeney was seen interacting affectionately with the children.
Sweeney and Braun reportedly met at a wedding in Venice in June of the previous year. Sweeney ended her engagement to Jonathan Davino in early 2025, around the time her relationship with Braun began. Sources at the time indicated that the couple was keeping their relationship low-key while dating and enjoying their time together, taking things slow. By December, reports suggested their relationship had become more serious, with sources stating they were in a committed relationship.
In January of this year, Sweeney addressed speculation about her personal life, expressing that it was difficult to experience relationships in the public eye. She noted that while she understood her public profile, she was still in her 20s and navigating her personal life, which proved challenging with millions of people offering opinions. Sweeney stated that she had previously focused on her career throughout her 20s and now wished to experience life, but acknowledged the difficulty of doing so publicly. Braun, in May, described Sweeney as an "extraordinary woman who is kind and generous and smart, and real and down to earth."
