The new "Supergirl" movie, directed by Craig Gillespie and starring Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El, is now available for purchase and rental on digital platforms. The film became available at 12 a.m. Eastern Time on Tuesday, July 28.
Digital purchase and rental options can be found on platforms such as Amazon Prime, Apple TV, and Fandango At Home. The price for digital purchase on Amazon Prime is $24.99, with a rental option available for $19.99. Renters will have 48 hours to view the movie after starting playback.
"Supergirl" will also be released on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD on September 8, 2026. Both digital and physical releases will include bonus features, such as making-of featurettes, deleted scenes, and an animated short about Krypto.
The movie is not yet available on a subscription-based streaming service. However, as a Warner Bros. production, it is expected to eventually stream on HBO Max. Warner Bros. films typically move to HBO Max after their physical media release, though the timeline has varied for previous titles. If "Supergirl" follows a similar pattern to other recent Warner Bros. releases, it could be available to HBO Max subscribers around early September 2026, potentially shortly after its home release date.
Directed by Gillespie and written by Ana Nogueira, the film also features Matthias Schoenaerts, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, David Corenswet, and Jason Momoa. The movie earned $124.4 million at the worldwide box office against an estimated $170 million production budget.
