Model Lauren Jaine, girlfriend of Strictly Come Dancing professional Nikita Kuzmin, has sustained second-degree burns to her stomach and legs after accidentally spilling a hot chocolate on herself during a flight. Jaine shared the details of the incident in a TikTok video while changing her bandages.
The couple were traveling back from a holiday in Italy when the accident occurred. Jaine described the moment the drink spilled, stating that while she initially thought Kuzmin might have nudged her, she later admitted to being a bit clumsy and having spilled things on herself before. The immediate aftermath involved rushing to the plane's bathroom for treatment.
Air hostesses provided Jaine with ice and burn creams. Upon landing, the pilot made an announcement for all passengers to remain on board as paramedics were en route to meet the aircraft. Jaine expressed her embarrassment over the announcement.
Following the incident, Jaine has been applying antiseptic cream and wound gauze. She has appealed to her followers for advice on minimizing scarring, expressing concern about a potentially significant scar on her stomach.
Kuzmin and Jaine confirmed their relationship in October 2023. Jaine had previously been seen supporting Kuzmin at Strictly studio performances.
