Beau Clark, husband of reality television personality Stassi Schroeder, has revealed significant marital strain stemming from his role as a stay-at-home parent. During the premiere episode of "House of Stassi," Clark confided in a friend about his growing resentment and feelings of detachment from Schroeder.
Clark described his current situation as feeling like they are “roommates,” admitting, “I just got so detached from her that it’s like we’re roommates. I don’t feel worthy.” He explained that his decision to remain home with their two children has become a point of contention, impacting his mental health and his connection with his wife.
"I’m trying to balance wanting her to have her space and to be able to not stress out when she’s working," Clark said in a confessional. "But then also, I’m sitting here, and I’m angry and resentful." He further likened his experience to that of a "1950s housewife," feeling he is cleaning and caring for the children while lacking their usual connection.

Schroeder, upon hearing Clark describe them as roommates, became emotional. She acknowledged his feelings and expressed a desire to improve their connection, stating, “I want you to say things. I want you to say things the way that you tell me you don’t want things to build up. I need to make more of an effort.” In her own confessional, Schroeder recognized her husband’s consistent support over the past five years, especially since she became a mother.

Despite the marital challenges, Schroeder indicated she is unwilling to abandon her reality television career. She stated, “I’ve already been working for years to get here. I can’t just stop now because all of a sudden, Beau waited until this very moment to tell me that.”
Schroeder and Clark married in September 2020 and welcomed their daughter, Hartford, four months later. Their son, Messer, was born in September 2023.
New episodes of "House of Stassi" air Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET on Hulu.
