Autumn's arrival has not deterred some celebrities from embracing the 'naked dress' trend, with stars opting for daring sheer gowns and revealing designs on recent red carpets.

The trend, characterized by entirely sheer materials or strategic cutouts, saw a resurgence at events like the Venice Film Festival and the premiere of Netflix's 'The Gentlemen.' Supermodel Stella Maxwell was noted for her dramatic black lace ensemble, where visible undergarments added to the allure.

American actress and comedian Mary Beth Barone chose a sheer slip dress worn over black underwear for a provocative effect at the premiere of Danny Boyle's film 'Ink.' Similarly, Italian influencer Francesca Busi wore a floor-length gown featuring sheer panels and floral details.

Maya Jama, who made her acting debut in 'The Gentlemen,' appeared in a custom leather gown with a plunging neckline, styled with fishnet stockings and open-toe heels. The design, created by R&M Leathers, was intended to channel her character from the Netflix series.

Stylist Lisa Talbot commented on the trend, suggesting that successful renditions of the 'naked dress' are those where the wearer is in control and the outfit reflects their personality. "If you're wearing something incredibly sheer simply for shock value, rather than because it reflects your personality or the image you want to project, it can quickly feel more attention-seeking than stylish," Talbot told the Daily Mail. She added that when there is thoughtful styling and the wearer appears comfortable, even revealing attire can be sophisticated.

Other notable appearances included American model Madisin Rian in a sequined Giorgio Armani Privé gown and 'The Gentlemen' star Kaya Scodelario in a custom Paolo Sebastian corset gown with a sheer panel in its skirt.

Yasmina Jones opted for a strapless red corset paired with a completely see-through, embroidered skirt, revealing black knee-length boots underneath. Stylist Lalla Bronshtein noted that while undergarments may be visible in sheer designs, the use of lace or sheer material can elevate the look beyond merely being "ultra sexy."
