The Starrett-Lehigh Building is once again playing a pivotal role in New York Fashion Week, serving as a key venue for numerous brand presentations. The massive, 12-story structure, owned by RXR, has become a significant anchor for the event, which now spans multiple locations across Manhattan.
This season, the building is hosting presentations for brands including Public School, Tibi, Magda Butrym, and 7 for All Mankind. These events follow recent activity at the site, which has also featured showings by Shoppe Object, Brand Assembly, and the Affordable Art Fair.
Ralph Lauren recently expanded its presence within the building, adding 22,000 square feet to its existing office and showroom space, bringing the total to 280,000 square feet.
Building Enhancements and Amenities
The Starrett-Lehigh Building, with its 2.3 million square feet, is noted for its horizontal skyscraper design. RXR, which acquired the property in 2011, has overseen significant improvements, including the replacement of approximately 5,000 ribbon-style windows. These renovations aim to enhance the building's appeal and functionality for its tenants and visitors.
Adding to the building's appeal are several dining and market establishments. Marcus Samuelsson's restaurant, Hav & Mar, is located on the ground floor, complemented by the rooftop establishment Yacht Club by Crew and the Olly Olly Market.
