Stacey Solomon arrived at the National Television Awards in London on Wednesday evening hand-in-hand with two of her young daughters, drawing attention in a slinky black cowl-neck gown while her children wore matching rainbow sequin dresses.

The 35-year-old presenter attended the star-studded ceremony at the O2 Arena with members of her family. Earlier in the day she shared a behind-the-scenes Instagram snap of everyone’s outfits hung on a wardrobe door and posted the caption "ITS NTA DAY," thanking fans for voting and saying it was special to attend the awards together as a family.

Solomon is nominated in two categories this year. She is shortlisted for Best TV Presenter alongside Ant and Dec, Alison Hammond, Claudia Winkleman and Gary Lineker, and she is also nominated in Factual Entertainment for a fly-on-the-wall series that documented her and husband Joe Swash as they sought therapy and navigated a difficult period in their marriage. The series aired earlier this year and the BBC has confirmed a second series is due to air next year.

The programme also featured the couple’s children: Rex, 5, and daughters Rose, 3, and Belle, 2, as well as Solomon’s elder sons Zachary, 17, and Leighton, 12, from previous relationships. Solomon has publicly expressed gratitude to viewers, noting that the NTAs are voted for by the public and that the nominations and support mean a great deal to her family.

The National Television Awards, now in their 30th year, are being held at the O2 and broadcast live on ITV2. The ceremony, established in 1995 to give the public a direct voice in recognising television talent, has been dominated in the TV Presenter category by Geordie duo Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly. The pair recorded their 23rd consecutive win last year and are widely expected to be front-runners again this year.

Red carpet arrivals were hosted for a second consecutive year by Sam Thompson and Pete Wicks. Winners across drama, comedy, reality and performance categories are being decided by public vote, with awards due to be dished out alongside entertainment performances until about 10:30 p.m.

Other notable nominations this year reflect the strength of British and international television across genres. Netflix’s Adolescence, praised for Owen Cooper’s performance, is among the contenders in the Best Drama category, which also includes Code of Silence, Ludwig, MobLand and Rivals. Long-running soaps are battling for Best Serial Drama, with Coronation Street and Emmerdale competing against Casualty, EastEnders and Hollyoaks after a year that saw high viewer numbers following ITVX releases.

Reality and entertainment categories are similarly competitive. I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, hosted by Ant and Dec, is up for Reality Competition against Love Island, Race Across the World and The Traitors. The Masked Singer, Michael McIntyre’s Big Show and Would I Lie to You? are among other programmes recognised in entertainment and quiz categories.

Comedic fare includes Gavin & Stacey, which aired a long-awaited final episode on Christmas 2024 and is nominated alongside Brassic, Michael McIntyre’s 25th Year Stand-Up Special and Mrs Brown’s Boys. The awards also feature categories for daytime programming, talent shows and returning drama series such as Call the Midwife, Gangs of London and Heartstopper.

Solomon’s presence at the ceremony with her family underscored the personal nature of her factual series and the public engagement that determines the NTAs. As the night proceeds, winners will be announced live, reflecting a mix of long-established favourites and newer shows that have resonated with audiences over the past year.
