Stacey Solomon has offered her social media followers a peek at the top floor of her new family residence, accompanied by her daughters Rose and Belle. The presenter, 36, who recently moved with her family from their £1.3 million Pickle Cottage, revealed the upper level is currently accessed by a ladder.
Solomon shared videos on Instagram showcasing bedrooms painted yellow and featuring original fireplaces, noted to have been used for coal storage. The tour also included a bathroom with distinctive orange tiles, which Solomon expressed a liking for.
During the exploration, the family discovered a collection of items left behind by the previous tenants, turning the discovery into a treasure hunt for the children. Among the finds were a vintage tennis racket, an old film camera, a riding hat, and a set of dominoes. Solomon asked her followers for their opinions on the orange bath suite and whether she should keep an 80s television found in one of the rooms.
Solomon stated she will not be showing the outside of the new property due to privacy and security concerns, citing past issues at their former home, Pickle Cottage. She expressed her excitement to share the renovation process and sought inspiration and tips from her followers for decorating and transforming the house.
The family officially announced their move on Friday, with Solomon posting a photo of her husband Joe Swash and their children on their new doorstep, captioning it: "Home is wherever I’m with you… Pickle Project, Here We Go." Solomon mentioned that their animals, including chickens, ducks, and a beehive, have successfully transitioned to the new property. Plans are also in motion to build a large vegetable garden and potentially rescue more animals.
Previously, it was reported in June that Solomon and Swash had fallen in love with the eight-bedroom Victorian mansion, which boasts a pool and extensive grounds. The property offers ample space for their children: Zachary, 18, Leighton, 14, Rex, seven, Rose, four, and Belle, three, as well as Swash's son Harry, 19. Solomon described the move as a significant decision, requiring careful consideration for their children and community. She also spoke emotionally about leaving Pickle Cottage, a place deeply connected to significant family milestones like the births of her daughters and their wedding, but emphasized the new property's potential for their growing family and their desire for more land to support rescue animals and expand their vegetable-growing ambitions.
