Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash have sold their family home, affectionately known as Pickle Cottage, in Essex, which they purchased in 2021. The couple, who are preparing for a fresh start, are seeking a property with more land to expand Stacey's vegetable patches and to facilitate their desire to rescue more animals.

The sale of their £1.3 million home marks a significant transition for the couple and their blended family, which includes children Rex, Rose, and Belle, as well as older sons Zachary, Leighton, and Harry. The decision to move was reportedly driven by their long-held wish to have more space for their agricultural and animal welfare pursuits.

This move comes after a year where the couple faced public scrutiny and speculation regarding the status of their marriage. In April, it was reported that Solomon and Swash had not yet formally registered their marriage, four years after a ceremony at Pickle Cottage. Solomon had previously explained on social media that the property lacked the necessary license for a legal civil ceremony, and they intended to register their marriage afterward. The delay, however, fueled rumors, further intensified when Solomon was photographed without her wedding band.

Adding to the public discourse, Swash spoke about a disastrous holiday, attributing some of his difficulties to managing his ADHD. He revealed on social media that he had left Solomon's suitcase at home and missed their flight, and that he felt his ADHD was impacting his life, prompting him to seek professional help. He had previously expressed feelings of being a 'problem' in Solomon's life due to his condition.

Solomon addressed the rumors of marital strife on the podcast 'Sort Your Life Out Unpacked,' stating that public pressure does not affect their relationship. She described their dynamic as similar to any other couple, with varying moods and levels of affection. Despite the rumors, their reality series was renewed for a fourth season, though Swash's cooking show was reportedly canceled.

Solomon announced the impending move in an emotional Instagram video, emphasizing that leaving Pickle Cottage was a significant decision. She highlighted the emotional attachment to the home where both of their daughters were born and where they held their wedding ceremony. However, the prospect of a larger property to accommodate their growing family, rescue animals, and extensive gardening ambitions ultimately led them to find a new location. They reportedly found a new property that they have fallen in love with and are excited about undertaking the project of renovating it for their family's future.
