Sophie Habboo has tearfully announced her departure from the podcast "Wednesdays," which she co-hosted with friend Melissa Tattam since 2021. Habboo stated her decision stems from a desire to prioritize spending time with her eight-month-old son, Ziggy, whom she welcomed with husband Jamie Laing in December.

In the latest episode, Habboo explained her intention to balance her role as a mother with her career opportunities. "I've realised that I just need to prioritise my son and just spend as much time as I can with him," she said. "I just feel it's the right time for me to step away." She expressed gratitude to her listeners and co-host, emphasizing the strong community built around the podcast. Habboo also shared her plans to remain involved as a guest on the show.

Melissa Tattam will continue hosting "Wednesdays," with Ruby Adler joining as a permanent co-host. Habboo paid tribute to Tattam, her friend of six years, thanking her for co-hosting the show.

Habboo also shared the news on Instagram, reflecting on her experience hosting "Wednesdays" as her first podcast. She highlighted how the show contributed to her personal growth and expressed her gratitude for the support from listeners. "Sadly this means stepping away from Wednesdays, whilst I am sad to be leaving as a co-host I know I am leaving the podcast in the best hands ever with Melissa and Ruby," she wrote.

Sophie shared that she wanted to still be a guest on the podcast 'all the time' and her close friends Melissa Tattam and Ruby Adler would continue to host the show

Her husband, Jamie Laing, supported her decision in the comments section of her Instagram post. The couple continues to host their "Newly Parents" podcast and recently partnered with GetYourGuide for a summer campaign, which included a trip to Paris.

Laing previously spoke about the challenges of fatherhood, describing the experience of raising their son Ziggy as being "in the trenches." He shared that balancing parenthood with running his business and maintaining friendships has been more demanding than anticipated. Despite the difficulties, he expressed love for their son and acknowledged the unique nature of this phase of life.
