Singer Sinitta is writing a memoir that will detail her tumultuous, on-again, off-again relationship with music executive Simon Cowell, which spanned more than two decades. The book, tentatively titled Who Put the Sin in Sinitta, is described as a 'tell-all' account of her life and her connection with Cowell.
"There is a whole load of stuff that people don't have any idea about," Sinitta told the Daily Mail at the Rainbow Honours event. She added that those mentioned in the book will not receive advance notice of its contents. "I won't tell people what I'm going to put in the book."
Sinitta, 62, and Cowell, 66, began their on-again, off-again relationship in the 1980s after she signed with his former label, Fanfare Records. She explained that there was "always an element of" their romance "never being over," even when both were involved with other people.
Sinitta married Andy Willner in 2002. While appearing on the Suddenly Single podcast, she revealed that her marriage was partly a "revenge move" but admitted that even during that relationship, "there was unfinished business" with Cowell. She described a pattern of pursuing other relationships, including with actor Brad Pitt, as a way to assert her independence and pride, with the unspoken understanding that she and Cowell might eventually end up together.
The romantic aspect of Sinitta and Cowell's relationship concluded when Cowell welcomed his son, Eric, with his fiancée, Lauren Silverman. Sinitta has since become the now 12-year-old Eric's godmother.
