Singer Cheryl's official YouTube account has been compromised for the second time this year, with three new 'albums' appearing in the 'Releases' tab. The uploads, titled "Taking Care," "Inner Peace," and "I Miss Who I Was," were noticed by fans this week and feature alongside Cheryl's established discography.
A source close to the situation stated that the origin of these songs on the official account is unknown and that the music is not connected to the singer. Fans expressed confusion and frustration online regarding the unauthorized content.
This incident follows a similar hack in January when a new song, "Yesus Kau Baik Bagiku," appeared on Cheryl's Spotify page. That track, which translates to "Jesus You Are Good To Me," featured an Indonesian-language vocal and a calming, religious tone that differed significantly from Cheryl's typical upbeat pop music. It was later understood that the song was by another artist with the same name, Cheryl Tuasuun, and was subsequently removed from the platform.
Cheryl, 42, has largely focused on motherhood since welcoming her son Bear in 2017 and has not released new music since 2019. She participated in the Girls Aloud reunion tour in 2024, a tribute to her late bandmate Sarah Harding. The singer has maintained a lower profile since the death of Bear's father, Liam Payne, in 2024. Probate documents released this month confirmed that Payne's estate, valued at approximately £21 million, will be inherited by his son Bear.
