Actor Shia LaBeouf recounted an alleged incident where Sigourney Weaver slapped his father, Jeffrey LaBeouf, on the set of the 2003 film "Holes." LaBeouf made the claim on Saturday at the Fanboy Expo in Knoxville, Tennessee, while discussing his experiences filming.
According to LaBeouf, his father had a history of being removed from film sets due to inappropriate behavior. He alleged that Jeffrey LaBeouf was "fresh out of prison" at the time of the "Holes" filming and had approached Weaver inappropriately. "She slapped him on Holes, on the Holes set," Shia LaBeouf stated.
LaBeouf also claimed that his father's conduct extended to the set of "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle," a film in which he also appeared. He alleged that his father was "hitting on all three of those women all the time," referring to the film's stars. He specifically mentioned that Lucy Liu "couldn’t stand" his father and would often avoid him, attributing it to Jeffrey LaBeouf whistling at her.
Jeffrey LaBeouf has a documented history of legal issues. According to reports, he was convicted of attempted rape in 1981 and served a prison sentence until 1983. He has reportedly acknowledged a conviction for attempted rape and being registered as a sex offender under Megan's Law.
Shia LaBeouf has previously explored his complex relationship with his father in his 2019 semi-autobiographical film "Honey Boy."
