Sienna Miller Was 35 Weeks Pregnant During Filming of 'War'

Sienna Miller, 44, has shared that she was pregnant throughout the filming of her latest project, the divorce drama "War," and was 35 weeks along by the conclusion of shooting.

Miller welcomed her third child in April with her partner Oli Green, 29. The couple became engaged two months later. This marks Miller's third child, and her second with Green, following a child born in January 2024. She also has a 14-year-old daughter, Marlowe, from her previous relationship with actor Tom Sturridge.

"War" stars Miller as Carla Duval and Dominic West as her ex-husband, Morgan Henderson. The series chronicles the difficult story of their divorce and features two elite London law firms competing for victory. Miller described the filming process as challenging due to her pregnancy, recounting long days that often required her to leave and return home in darkness.

Phoebe Fox, who also stars in "War," was pregnant during the shoot as well, and her pregnancy was incorporated into the storyline.

Reflecting on the experience, Miller told The Observer, "She got in first. We sat together scoffing Freddos in between shots." This comment suggests a camaraderie with Fox, who was also pregnant during filming.

In recent interviews, Miller has spoken candidly about the physical and mental demands of motherhood. She mentioned feeling like a "lactating heifer" and struggling with her "massive boobs" after nearly four years of continuous pregnancy or breastfeeding. She also shared in a Vogue interview that she feels she has lost her fashion sense and sometimes her sense of self due to exhaustion and the constant demands of raising young children, humorously noting, "I also have massive boobs, which I don't know how to dress."

During an appearance on The Jimmy Fallon Show shortly after giving birth, Miller admitted that motherhood could be exhausting, stating, "It feels like stringing sentences together is a bit challenging. I'm on very little sleep but I'm madly in love with my baby." She also humorously contrasted the challenges of managing her teenage daughter with the difficulties of traveling with a newborn and toddler, declaring the toddler to be the tougher of the two.

Despite the challenges, Miller expressed profound joy about her recent pregnancy, noting that she had wanted another child for a long time and had come to terms with the possibility of not having more. The unexpected arrival brought her a sense of "euphoria" and "existential relief."

"War" is scheduled to be released in the UK on October 2 on Sky and Now.
