Sharon Osbourne surprised patrons at Merlins Cafe Bar by stepping behind the bar for a shift, pouring pints and sampling a beer named in honor of her late husband, Ozzy Osbourne. The establishment, located in Ozzy's hometown of Birmingham, England, was celebrating "Ozzy Osbourne Day" on July 22nd.
Osbourne, 73, was seen pouring and drinking Hobsons Brewery's "Patient Number 9," a beer released to commemorate Ozzy Osbourne Day. The TV personality appeared to enjoy the beverage, giving a thumbs-up after her first taste and taking a second sip. She was dressed in a black blazer, matching trousers, and pearl bracelets.
The barman at Merlins Cafe Bar jokingly offered Osbourne a job, to which she readily agreed. The pub shared a video of the event on social media, expressing gratitude for Osbourne's visit and calling the experience "unforgettable, funny, and utterly surreal." They noted that her apron was waiting should she wish to return.
Merlins Cafe Bar features a memorial wall dedicated to Ozzy Osbourne, a fan mail box, and hosts events to honor the Black Sabbath frontman. Ozzy Osbourne died in July of the previous year at the age of 76, just weeks after performing a farewell concert in Birmingham.
This appearance followed Sharon Osbourne's tribute to her husband on what would have been their 46th wedding anniversary. She shared a photo of them holding hands on Instagram, writing about a love that "even death could not diminish." Their daughter, Kelly Osbourne, visited Ozzy's grave and laid flowers. The couple were married in 1982. Later, Sharon and Kelly attended a "summer clown" themed party with Kate Moss to mark the first anniversary of Ozzy's death.
