Sharon Osbourne issued an emotional statement on Instagram on Saturday, her first public message since the death of her husband, Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne.

In a caption accompanying a video of herself trying falconry, the 72-year-old wrote that she was "still having trouble finding the words" but was grateful for the "overwhelming love and support" she has received on social media. She said the comments, posts and tributes had "brought me more comfort than you know" and that they had "carried me through many nights."

Osbourne described the falconry experience as "nothing short of magical," writing that the birds form a bond "built entirely on trust and confidence" and will perch only if they sense a person is "safe and unafraid of them." She closed the post by thanking followers for the "otherworldly amount of love" and signed off with a peace and heart emoji.

Ozzy Osbourne, 76, died on July 22 and was laid to rest on the grounds of his Buckinghamshire estate, the family said. Sharon Osbourne has remained largely out of the public eye since his death; the Instagram post marked a notable public acknowledgment of supporters and a glimpse of how she has been spending time in the weeks that followed.

The couple had been a high-profile presence in music and entertainment for decades, with Ozzy rising to fame as the frontman of Black Sabbath and Sharon known for her career in talent management and television. Their relationship and Osbourne's public profile have drawn extensive media attention over the years.

In her Instagram message, Sharon Osbourne highlighted the comfort she found in small moments and interactions following the loss. The post did not outline any immediate plans for public appearances or events.

Representatives for Osbourne did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The Instagram post was published Sept. 13, 2025, and has since drawn thousands of responses from followers offering condolences and support.
