Sharon Horgan Dazzles in Sheer Lace at 'Youth' Premiere
The creator and star of HBO's new series stuns in a daring black lace dress at the New York premiere.

Sharon Horgan, 56, made a striking appearance at the New York premiere of HBO's new series "Youth" on Thursday evening, opting for a bold sheer black lace dress.
The actress and show creator wore a sheer bra beneath the long-sleeved gown, paired with black undergarments. She accessorized her ensemble with diamond drop earrings.
"Youth" is a romantic comedy series created by and starring Horgan, who also takes on the role of Alex. The series follows a 50-year-old divorcee navigating her search for sex and love while balancing the care of her aging parents and raising her son.
Horgan told the Radio Times that the inspiration for the series has been developing for about seven years. She explained that the idea emerged as she approached 50, found herself divorced, and began dating again, recognizing it as a period of significant change for women. The concept further developed when she realized her character's newfound freedom was constrained by familial responsibilities.
"And thinking that she has this time, this freedom, and then finding out that she doesn't because her parents are getting older and need her, and her son isn't ready to move out of home, and it just felt like a really ripe world for comedy and storytelling," Horgan said.
The premiere also drew attention to Aran Murphy, the son of actor Cillian Murphy, who stars in the series as Ruairi, an emotionally vulnerable teenager influenced by social media trends.
Aran's appearance at a London screening last week caused a stir online due to his strong resemblance to his father. Social media users commented on the striking similarity, with many noting he appeared to be a "copy and paste" version of the acclaimed actor.
Aran Murphy has been building a notable career, having appeared in the film "Klara and the Sun" earlier this year and the HBO and Sky co-production "WAR" in the previous year. His feature film debut was in the 2022 indie sci-fi mystery "Lola."
"Youth" is set to launch on September 20.
