Country music star Shania Twain has revealed that she was unable to attend Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding on July 3 because she was performing on stage with Harry Styles.

Twain, 60, was a surprise opening act for Styles during his 12-night "Together Together" tour at London's Wembley Stadium last month. "I was very honored to be invited to Taylor's wedding and next time I see her, I will of course give her a big congratulations," Twain said during an appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon."

Twain expressed admiration for Swift's musicianship and storytelling. Twain and Swift have been friends for many years, and Swift previously dated Styles for a year in 2012.

Twain's performance schedule with Styles also included appearances at Coachella in 2022 and the Brit Awards in 2023. She recalled meeting Styles backstage at a small show, noting he was not yet the global superstar he is today.

Swift and Kelce's wedding took place at Madison Square Garden, with an estimated 1,000 guests in attendance. The ceremony reportedly featured 20-minute vows. Following the wedding, the couple traveled to the Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, Montana, for private celebrations over the July 4th weekend.

Notable guests at the wedding included actors Selena Gomez, Bradley Cooper, and Dakota Johnson, as well as singer Ed Sheeran. Comedian Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony, and Paul McCartney performed at the reception.

Twain, who lives in Switzerland with her husband Frédéric Thiébaud, also recently reflected on reaching her 60s, stating she feels she is now "getting it right" after a "tougher" start to life. She plans to live to 200 to accomplish all her goals.
