Layla Taylor, a cast member of “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” announced on Monday that she is bisexual, sharing the news during an appearance on Jay Shetty’s “On Purpose” podcast.

Taylor, 25, revealed that she had not informed her co-stars of her sexuality before the podcast episode aired, expecting them to learn about it through the program. "They’re going to be finding out for themselves on this podcast," she said, adding, "And I know that they’re going to be nothing but supportive."

Following the podcast's release, several of her co-stars publicly shared their reactions. Mayci Neeley, 31, posted a clip of the announcement to her Instagram Story, expressing her pride and love for Taylor. Neeley's husband, Jacob Neeley, commented on Taylor's strength.

Jennifer Affleck and Whitney Leavitt also offered their support in the comments section of social media posts related to Taylor's announcement. Leavitt wrote, "Love you lay 💕 so happy for you!" Affleck, 27, stated, "There’s nothing more beautiful than living your truth❤️ love you Lay."

Miranda McWhorter called Taylor her "angel" and expressed how "so so proud" she is. Chase McWhorter, brother of Taylor's ex-boyfriend Mason McWhorter, responded with clapping and rainbow emojis. Mikayla Matthews and Jessi Draper also shared messages of support on social media.

Taylor Frankie Paul, another cast member, also indicated her support by liking a social media post about Taylor's announcement.

During the podcast, Taylor described a period where she "didn't really know how to formally address [her sexuality] for a long period of my life" but expressed pride in being out. She noted that while she didn't feel pressure to hide her bisexuality, she lacked role models who openly expressed their sexuality in similar ways.

Taylor also shared that she is currently "talking to" a woman, though she did not reveal the individual's name. She described this person as being "very understanding and letting me take this at my own pace because it is just still foreign to me and it is so new."

Taylor's past relationships, including her split from ex-husband Clayton Wessell in 2023 and subsequent relationships with Cameron Jolly and Mason McWhorter, have been documented on the show. Mason McWhorter, also 25, had previously dated Taylor and also “liked” her recent announcement. Cast of "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" standing together at the Season 3 Reunion.
