Savannah Miller, 47, has shared a series of intimate photos chronicling her pregnancy journey, culminating in a heartwarming Instagram post as she approaches the end of her IVF treatment. The fashion designer posted a montage of images, documenting her growing baby bump from the early stages following her embryo transfer in December to nearing full term.
Among the shared images was a tender moment with her sister, actress Sienna Miller, 44, where they both touched their matching baby bumps. Savannah also showcased her own pregnant belly in a black bikini. Her post featured a timeline of pictures, beginning with a positive pregnancy test and progressing to recent photos highlighting her advanced stage of pregnancy. She captioned the update, "From December, the day of our embryo transfer, to today…. Approaching the finishing line with the cooking of this gorgeous egg. We can’t wait to meet you little guy!"
Savannah, who is expecting her fourth child with her second husband James Whewell, is due in late August. Her sister Sienna welcomed her third child in May.
In a previous interview, Savannah stated that her sister's pregnancy at 43 had served as an inspiration. She described Sienna's approach to motherhood and life as a realization that she could manage another child in her forties, especially after remarrying. Savannah, already a mother to Moses, 21, Lyra, 18, and Bali, 14, from her first marriage, explained that seeing Sienna embrace motherhood again made her feel "all in." She and her second husband, James, married in 2022 and began discussing the possibility of starting a family together. They announced their pregnancy in March after what Savannah described as a "complicated" fertility journey. The couple is expecting a baby boy.
Savannah shared her excitement about being pregnant concurrently with her sister, calling it the "most delicious cherry on the icing on the cake." She admitted that trying to conceive at the same time as Sienna was intentional, stating, "If she's doing it again, at least I won't be in the trenches on my own. I'll join her… if I should be so lucky."
She also noted that she and her husband have chosen not to publicly disclose the specific method of conception for their unborn child, believing it is the child's right to decide whether to share that information later in life. Reflecting on her decision to have a baby in her forties, Savannah told British Vogue that spending time with her niece had changed her perspective. She explained that in her younger years, she felt a constant pressure to prove herself, but now feels more present and has a deeper wisdom about parenting. She realized that starting this new chapter with a different partner at a different stage of her life would be a unique experience.
Savannah's post also included snapshots of her enjoying her pregnancy, with images from holidays, sunbathing, and working out, indicating she has embraced the experience.
