Saoirse Ronan was recently observed on the set of Sam Mendes' upcoming Beatles biopic, participating in the filming of iconic scenes at Abbey Road Studios. Ronan, who is portraying Linda McCartney, the late wife of Paul McCartney, was seen sporting a prosthetic baby bump. She was dressed in a blue minidress and knee-high socks for the sequences.

The scenes at Abbey Road, which occurred on August 8, 1969, led to the creation of the famous album cover for the Beatles' penultimate album. At that time, Linda McCartney was pregnant with Mary, who was born on August 28, 1969, shortly after the album's recording concluded.

Linda McCartney was a celebrated photographer, with her career launching after she photographed the Rolling Stones for Town & Country magazine in 1966. She met Paul McCartney in 1967 at a music club in London during the height of Beatlemania. After The Beatles disbanded, Linda became a musical partner to Paul, playing keyboards and providing harmonies in Wings. The couple married in March 1969 and remained together until her death from breast cancer in 1998 at the age of 56.

Ronan is joined in the film by Mia McKenna-Bruce as Maureen Starkey, Aimee Lou Wood as Pattie Boyd, and Anna Sawai as Yoko Ono. Mendes stated that these four women are "fascinating and unique figures in their own right" and expressed his excitement about securing talented actresses for the project. The actors portraying the Beatles include Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr, and Joseph Quinn as George Harrison.

The project, titled 'The Beatles: A Four-Film Cinematic Event,' was announced last year. Each of the four films will focus on the perspective of one member of the band, tracing their journey from their early days in Liverpool to global superstardom and their eventual breakup in 1970. This marks the first time that surviving members Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, along with the families of John Lennon and George Harrison, have granted rights for feature films about them. All four films are slated for simultaneous release in 2028.
