Sandra Bullock, known for keeping her children out of the public eye, has included her son Louis, 16, and daughter Laila, 12, in her latest film, "Practical Magic 2." The actress confirmed their surprise cameos in an interview with Access Hollywood on Monday. Bullock, who reprises her role as Sally Owens in the sequel to the 1998 film, described the appearances as "blink-and-you'll-miss-it" moments.

"They're in the movie but not in an obvious way to you, not in an obvious way," Bullock told the outlet. She added that her children attended the film's premiere with friends but did not make a red carpet appearance. The Academy Award-winning star expressed pride in her children, noting how they have become influences on her. She described Louis as her "steadfast, moral barometer" and Laila as insightful for "spotting things and thinking forward."

Bullock adopted Louis in 2010 and Laila in 2015. She raised them as a single parent, previously with her late partner Bryan Randall. The actress likened her protective instincts in real life to her "Practical Magic" character, Sally Owens, telling People that this fearfulness is "me to the core." She acknowledged that while she wishes to shield her children from pain, she understands it is part of their individual journeys. Bullock previously spoke on "Red Table Talk" in 2021 about embracing parenthood in her 40s, expressing gratitude for the timing of the universe.

"The Speed" actress also mentioned she had not yet shown her children their scenes in the film. "I can't wait to show them where it is - they don't know where it is," she said.
