Sam Faiers told viewers on Tuesday that she discovered a cleaner had been taking items from her home, including a sentimental engagement ring that belonged to her grandmother, during an episode of ITV's Sam and Billie: Sister Act.
The 34-year-old reality star said she first realised something was wrong while searching for an outfit for a work event and noticed multiple items missing from her wardrobe. "The other day I noticed that my nan's engagement ring wasn't here... I only have two. I just have a really horrible feeling that my stuff has been stolen," she said on the programme.
Faiers said the engagement ring had particular emotional significance. She recalled that when her grandmother, Nanny Wendy, died their grandfather placed his wife's wedding band and engagement ring in the siblings' hands and told them to choose one. "I ended up with the engagement ring. Out of everything I have that is the most sentimental thing. I would be absolutely devastated if that is gone," she said.
She told her sister Billie she had a "really strong feeling" that a new cleaner who had been working in the house while Sam and Billie were in Los Angeles was responsible. In scenes shown on the programme, Faiers described making a list of missing items and messaging the cleaner to give her an opportunity to return them, saying: "If I go in hard now she's not going to give it back."
Further inspection turned up more items missing from her wardrobe, including socks, gym wear and a new Varley set. The sisters also learned from their landlady that piles of items had been spotted at the cleaner's home. Faiers's partner Paul FaceTimed her from the property and showed items that appeared to belong to the couple, including bedsheets and underwear from the SKIMS brand.
Billie Faiers reacted on camera, expressing disbelief at the alleged behaviour. "I'm so shocked how someone can be so brazen, and such a liberty taker," she said.
According to the episode, the cleaner later took the opportunity to return some of the stolen items and subsequently handed herself into law enforcement. The show did not provide further details on any police investigation or whether charges were filed.
Sam and Billie: Sister Act follows the sisters as they balance family life and careers and has featured personal incidents alongside routine domestic matters. This episode aired on ITV on Tuesday, with the sequence of discovery, outreach to the cleaner, the landlady's involvement and the subsequent return of some belongings forming the central narrative of the segment.
Faiers has previously appeared on reality programmes and in tabloid coverage; the family heirloom reference and the decision to publicise the incident on-screen underline the personal nature of the dispute as presented in the episode. The programme presented the sisters' responses in real time and showed their efforts to recover missing items while seeking a resolution.
No further comment was included on the broadcast about legal outcomes or the cleaner's identity. ITV's schedule lists new episodes of Sam and Billie: Sister Act throughout the season, continuing to document the siblings' personal and professional lives.
