Influencer Saffron Barker has moved to New York City to pursue acting ambitions, enrolling in two prominent drama schools. This move comes as she and her boyfriend, Josh Miln, are taking a break to figure out their relationship.
Barker, who gained fame on YouTube and has millions of followers across social media platforms, relocated to Dubai last year to be with Miln, a Scottish model. However, her content has recently shifted to focus on her new life in New York, attending acting classes and exploring the city.
A source close to Barker stated that she has always desired a perfect relationship, but currently, she and Miln cannot agree on a location, prompting them to take a break and focus on their individual pursuits. "She's chasing her dreams and not boyfriends and would love to move to NYC permanently," the source added.
The couple's relationship began in 2024 when Barker reached out to Miln on TikTok. They made their relationship public on New Year's and Miln later moved into Barker's home in East Sussex. In June 2025, Barker relocated to Dubai, intending to split her time between the UAE and the UK.
Barker's shift in focus to acting is a long-held ambition. In a recent YouTube vlog, she expressed that pursuing acting full-time has brought her a happiness she hadn't felt in some time, suggesting she had lost optimism while in Dubai. She has enrolled at the Maggie Flanigan Studio and the William Esper Studio in New York, institutions that have trained professional actors.
Barker's family and friends have supported her move, with her best friend Libby Whitehouse and mother Wendy Barker visiting her in New York. Meanwhile, Miln has continued to share updates from his travels, including trips to Bali.
Barker first rose to fame at age 15 with her YouTube channel and has since appeared on television shows such as "Strictly Come Dancing." Her family members, including her mother and brothers, have also gained followings as influencers. Earlier this year, Barker listed her East Sussex home for £1.85 million, further signaling a new phase in her life.
