Sacha Baron Cohen made a surprise appearance at Wimbledon on Sunday, fully embodying his iconic character Ali G. The comedian was seen in the stands, dressed in a white track jacket emblazoned with "Official Wimbledon Ganja Dealer" on the back, complete with a thick gold rope chain and other signature Ali G accessories.
This appearance comes amid speculation that Cohen is secretly filming a new movie based on the character. Cohen, 54, posted a video on Instagram from the event, captioned, "I iz BACK! And if u iz at dis borin wimbledore final lookin 2 get grand slammed, I iz here wif de hookup π±πβοΈππ dm me, especially if u iz fit."
Ali G, the satirical persona created by Cohen, first emerged on the UK's "The 11 O'Clock Show" in 1998 as the "voice of da yoof." The character later spawned his own television series and a film, with Cohen often duping guests into believing Ali G was a real person.
Cohen had also been spotted at Wimbledon on Saturday, reportedly attending the tournament in a white linen suit with a green button-down shirt. His presence at the prestigious sporting event coincided with appearances by other notable figures, including Kate Middleton, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte, who were also in attendance for the men's singles final. Other celebrities observed at Wimbledon this year include Nicole Kidman, Andrew Garfield, Jennifer Lopez, Tom Hiddleston, and Anna Wintour.
