Actor Ryan Thomas has revealed that he and his fiancée Lucy Mecklenburgh sleep in separate beds and utilize different living rooms at their primary residence in Manchester. The couple, parents to Roman, six, and Lilah, four, also own a home in London.
Thomas discussed the sleeping arrangements on his podcast, "At Home With The Thomas Bros," which he co-hosts with his brothers Adam and Scott. He explained that while they share a bed in their smaller London home due to limited space, the situation is different at their Manchester base. "In Manchester, we stay in separate beds and we have separate living rooms," Thomas stated.
His brother Adam expressed surprise at the arrangement, deeming it "f***ed up" and suggesting Thomas should share a bed with Mecklenburgh. Last year, Mecklenburgh reportedly explained the reason for their separate sleeping quarters, citing Thomas's snoring, sleep-talking, and tendency to hit her in his sleep.
Thomas is also father to a 17-year-old daughter, Scarlett, from a previous relationship with his former co-star Tina O’Brien. The couple became engaged in June 2019, but their wedding plans were delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier this year, Thomas’s brothers teased him about a public display of affection during a trip to Copenhagen, where Thomas shared photos of himself and Mecklenburgh kissing in a photo booth. His brothers noted that Mecklenburgh is typically not fond of PDA.
