Ryan Thomas has revealed that he and his fiancée, Lucy Mecklenburgh, sleep in separate beds and use different living rooms in their main residence in Manchester. The couple, who have two young children, Roman, six, and Lilah, four, also own a smaller home in London where they currently share a bed due to limited space.
Thomas shared these details on his podcast, "At Home With The Thomas Bros," which he hosts with his brother Adam. Adam expressed surprise and disapproval at the sleeping arrangement, telling his brother that he believes they should share a bed.
Last year, Mecklenburgh explained the reason behind their separate sleeping arrangements. She stated that Thomas snores, talks in his sleep, and sometimes hits her while sleeping. Thomas also has a 17-year-old daughter, Scarlett, from a previous relationship with former co-star Tina O’Brien.
Earlier this year, Thomas's brothers teased him after he suggested Mecklenburgh seemed particularly affectionate towards him during a trip to Copenhagen. They shared photos from the trip, including images of the couple kissing in a photo booth, which Scott Thomas noted seemed out of character for Mecklenburgh, who is reportedly not a fan of public displays of affection.
Thomas defended his behavior, stating he felt very much in love during the trip and wanted to express it. He described himself as "besotted" with Mecklenburgh, whom he has been in a relationship with since 2017. The couple became engaged in June 2019, but their wedding plans were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
