Ryan Gosling is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Ghost Rider, with director Shawn Levy helming a film scheduled for release in 2028. Gosling appeared at San Diego Comic-Con International's Hall H on Saturday with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige to announce the casting.
Gosling's partner, Eva Mendes, previously starred in the 2007 “Ghost Rider” film alongside Nicolas Cage. The film rights for the character have since reverted to Marvel. "Avengers: Endgame," released in 2019, will be re-released in theaters on Sept. 25 with new footage that connects to the upcoming "Avengers: Doomsday," scheduled for Dec. 18. Many attendees waited over 24 hours for access to the Hall H panel, which also featured appearances by Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, and Pedro Pascal.
Additionally, David Jonsson has been cast as the new Black Panther, taking on the mantle as the son of Chadwick Boseman's T'Challa.
