Ruth Jones, the 59-year-old star known for her role in "Gavin & Stacey," has showcased a dramatic transformation with grey hair as she completed filming for a new BBC comedy series titled "Better Later." Jones shared her new look on Instagram on Friday, sparking fan speculation about whether the change was permanent or a wig.

The actress, who also co-wrote the new series, stars alongside Steve Speirs. The show explores the complexities of relationships for middle-aged individuals. Jones will portray Shelly-Ann, a 55-year-old recently divorced environmental officer who befriends Clive, a 60-year-old retired teacher, after meeting at a knee trauma clinic.

Jones expressed gratitude for the BBC's commission, stating, "Steve and I are old friends and working with him is always a thrill. Can’t wait." Speirs, who has collaborated with Jones for over 30 years, added, "Thanks to the team at the BBC for backing our new show. I’ve worked with Ruth for over 30 years and am really looking forward to doing it again!"
