Russell Crowe and his ex-wife, Danielle Spencer, will reunite on stage for a one-night concert at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney on Dec. 20, the former couple announced this week.

Crowe said Spencer will open his Indoor Garden Party and that both will perform during the evening. Spencer, a singer and actress, described the chance to perform together again as "a lovely full circle moment," saying she and Crowe originally bonded through music and have played together many times over the years.

Crowe, 61, discussed the show on the Kyle and Jackie O radio program, saying he was excited for the one-night event and calling Spencer "my former paramour, my ex-wife." He said the arrangement sits well with their blended family and that their sons responded positively. "Yeah everybody's cool. The coolest about that is my kids. They're like, 'Dad, that's really, that's excellent,'" Crowe told hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O.

Spencer, 56, told news.com.au that performing together again has been sentimental. The couple, who married in 2003, separated in 2012 and had their divorce finalised in 2018. They share two sons: Charles, 21, and Tennyson, 19. Spencer has recorded hits including "Wish I'd Been Here" and "A Night Like This."

The announcement follows recent media reports that Crowe has drifted from close friend Terri Irwin after the actor began dating his current fiancée, Britney Theriot. Tabloid publication New Idea reported that Crowe and Irwin had not seen each other for about five years and suggested the split coincided with his relationship with Theriot. The reports described the change in their friendship as difficult for Irwin; neither Crowe nor Irwin confirmed those details to news outlets seeking comment.

Crowe's Indoor Garden Party is being billed as a one-off performance and appears to draw on his longstanding interest in music. Both Crowe and Spencer have performed publicly in the past, including collaborative appearances when their children were younger. The pair's decision to share a bill marks a public reunion of a musical partnership that predates their marriage and subsequent separation.

Tickets and further details about the Enmore Theatre event were not announced by Crowe's management at the time of the statements. Crowe's radio appearance described a lighthearted tone around the reunion, and interviews with Spencer emphasized the emotional resonance of returning to perform together after years apart.

Representatives for Crowe and Spencer did not immediately provide additional comment beyond the radio interview and Spencer's remarks to news.com.au. Requests for comment on the reports about Crowe's relationship with Irwin and his status with Theriot were not returned.
