Rush, the influential Canadian rock trio, is set to embark on their 'Fifty Something Tour,' with a special four-night engagement at Chicago's United Center from July 16 to July 22, 2026. This marks the band's first return to the city in over a decade, following their 'R40 Live: 40th Anniversary Tour' in June 2015.

Original members Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson will perform, featuring drummer Anika Nilles stepping in for the late Neil Peart. The tour celebrates the band's extensive legacy, with a setlist expected to include a mix of their greatest hits and deeper album cuts. At their June 13 performance at Inglewood, California's Kia Forum, the band played a 35-song setlist that included "Tom Sawyer," "Limelight," "The Spirit of Radio," and "Working Man," alongside tributes to Peart.

Lowest-priced tickets for the Chicago shows, as of publication, start at $169 including fees on SeatGeek. Other dates have tickets ranging from $193 to $249. A promo code, NYPOST10, offers $10 off purchases over $250 for first-time SeatGeek users.

Following their Chicago dates, Lee and Lifeson are scheduled to continue the 'Fifty Something Tour' with additional dates across North America through December 2026.

Neil Peart's widow, Carrie Nuttall-Peart, and his daughter, Olivia, have expressed their support for the tour, stating, "We are thrilled to support the ‘Fifty Something’ tour, celebrating a band whose music has resonated and inspired fans for generations, and to honor Neil’s extraordinary legacy as both a drummer and lyricist." They highlighted Peart's unique musicianship and lyrical depth, noting his profound impact on fans.

Geddy Lee released his memoir, "My Effin’ Life," in 2023, reflecting on his career and experiences. Ahead of his solo tour supporting the book, Lee stated, "I’ve never lived my life looking anywhere but forward... But you need a lot more determination to proceed in the world of music without the comfort of your bandmates, and I can only hope that finishing this book will release me to return to what I do and love best."

Anika Nilles, a German drummer known for her jazz-influenced style, brings a dynamic presence to the kit. She began her musical journey at age six and has released several original compositions and albums, also performing with notable artists like Jeff Beck.

The band's last Chicago performance in 2015 featured a 27-song setlist according to Set List FM, highlighting the extensive catalog Rush is known for.
