Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Gemma Chan posed together on a boat in Venice as they headed to the premiere of Guillermo del Toro’s "Frankenstein" during the Venice Film Festival.
Huntington-Whiteley, 38, wore a white silky gown topped with bejewelled detailing and a white fur shawl, while Chan, 42, appeared in a purple satin gown with intricate beading at the shoulder and waist. The pair were photographed last month en route to the screening and later joined other attendees including Paris Jackson and Mia Goth on the red carpet. Jacob Elordi leads the cast in the title role; "Frankenstein" is scheduled to arrive on Netflix on Nov. 7.
Earlier in the week Huntington-Whiteley and her partner, actor Jason Statham, promoted a second collaboration for Italian knitwear brand Falconeri. The couple, who live in Los Angeles, shared campaign images that paired Huntington-Whiteley in a grey knitted bodysuit with Statham in a matching grey cardigan and beige joggers. Huntington-Whiteley posted that the campaign represents "a vision of luxury and timeless style," crediting photographer Lachlan Bailey.
Huntington-Whiteley and Statham began their relationship in 2009 after meeting at a party in London. They became engaged in 2016 and have two children: a son, Jack, 7, and a daughter, Isabella, 2. The model has previously said marriage was not an immediate priority after the birth of their son, and she has addressed the couple’s 20-year age gap in interviews, describing Statham’s experience and strength as "inspiring and attractive."
In discussing the family’s move back to the U.K. in 2020, Huntington-Whiteley told The Times that it was always the plan to raise their children in Britain. "We love the schools, the education. They’re growing up British with their little British accents, which was important for us, and we have a great support system here," she said, noting that Statham’s parents live nearby and her own family visits regularly.
Huntington-Whiteley has said she limits what she shares of her children online but has spoken about the importance of giving them experiences similar to her own upbringing in Devon. She described summer visits to the family farm as a way for the children to have "the same experiences" she had growing up.
The Venice appearance adds to a busy season for both actresses. Huntington-Whiteley continues to balance modelling and fashion projects with family life, while Chan remains active in film and television. The screening of "Frankenstein" at Venice is among several high-profile festival events this year that have drawn international stars to the city.
