Romeo Beckham appeared relaxed and stylish as he stepped out in New York during Fashion Week, a low-key outing that comes as his mother, Victoria Beckham, prepares to release a Netflix documentary that will include scenes featuring his older brother, Brooklyn.

The 23-year-old wore a graphic red sweater layered over a long-sleeved white top and jeans, paired with chunky boots and silver jewelry, with earphones visible at his collar as he walked through the city. The appearance drew attention after reports said Victoria’s upcoming docuseries will show moments involving all of her children, including Brooklyn, who has been publicly reported to be estranged from his mother.

Netflix announced production on a series that follows Victoria and her fashion and beauty business in August. The program, from the makers of the documentaries Beckham and Michelle Obama’s Becoming, is slated for release on Oct. 9 and promises behind-the-scenes access to Victoria, her family and close collaborators as she prepares for Paris Fashion Week.

Sources working on the project told reporters that despite reports of a rift and little or no contact since May between Victoria and her eldest son, footage of Brooklyn will remain in the series because it is part of the narrative surrounding her fashion shows. One scene described by sources shows Brooklyn helping to clear and mop a rain-soaked catwalk after a downpour at Victoria’s Paris show in September 2024. Other family moments said to be included relate to fashion preparations, including scenes of younger brother Cruz being fitted for a suit ahead of a show.

Victoria, 51, released promotional artwork for the series that features her in a crisp white shirt and wearing diamond jewelry. The program will chart her trajectory from Spice Girl to creative director of a global fashion and beauty empire, sources said.

David Beckham, who starred in last year’s Netflix documentary Beckham, discussed his wife’s forthcoming series on NBC’s Today show, saying it “wasn’t the easiest thing to get her to agree to.” He added that Victoria is “unbelievably hard-working and very clever” and that the public should see the work that goes into her business. David said he convinced her to let viewers in on the daily operations and pressures of running the brand.

The Beckham family has been the subject of significant media attention in recent months, with reports of tensions between Victoria and her eldest son. The decision to include Brooklyn in the Netflix series appears to reflect producers’ aim to document the Paris show and the broader workings of Victoria’s enterprise rather than to chronicle private family disputes.

David’s own documentary included candid family moments and anecdotes, and he referenced one such scene in which he and Victoria danced to "Islands in the Stream," saying the moment was spontaneous and that their children were embarrassed by the display. Another lighthearted moment from David’s film — a joking exchange about Victoria’s childhood and the car her father drove her to school — underscored the mix of personal history and public persona that family-centered documentaries often present.

The Netflix series joins a growing trend of documentaries that follow public figures and their businesses, offering viewers an inside look at creative processes, logistics and family dynamics. For Victoria Beckham, the series will test the balance between professional storytelling about a fashion house and the inclusion of intimate family scenes amid reports of strained relationships.
