Robert Irwin is set to co-host the revival of Australian Ninja Warrior, a role he described as his dream television job. The 22-year-old conservationist will join Beau Ryan and Georgie Tunny for the high-octane obstacle course competition, which is scheduled to premiere on Channel Ten in 2027.

This new venture marks a significant career move for Irwin, who has become a sought-after presenter following his appearance on "I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!" which was put on hiatus by Channel Ten earlier this year. Irwin stated that he is selective about his projects, only committing to shows that align with his values, such as those that promote fun, passion, and optimism.

"You could ask me to do absolutely anything in the world. I'm not going to do it unless it's a show that I'm a fan of and genuinely enjoy, or it's something that really aligns with a sense of fun, passion and optimism," Irwin told The Daily Telegraph. He expressed a desire for reality television to offer more positive role models for younger viewers, noting that many current programs do not feature individuals he would want his niece to emulate.

Irwin believes "Australian Ninja Warrior" stands out by celebrating determination and resilience. "But when you watch something like Ninja Warrior, or when I was part of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here, these sort of shows where we're watching kind of heroes rise, we're watching people that are passionate, that are giving it a go," he said. "That are having fun, that are just sort of getting stuck in and trying this. I kind of go, 'this is fun'."

The series was previously broadcast on Channel Nine from 2017 to 2022 before its cancellation. The revamped competition will feature everyday Australians and elite athletes attempting to conquer challenging obstacle courses, culminating in the iconic Mount Midoriyama. The original run of "Australian Ninja Warrior" was co-hosted by Leila McKinnon, Will McMahon, and Woody Whitelaw. Meanwhile, "I'm A Celebrity" is reportedly being rebooted by Channel Seven for a 2027 release with a new cast.
