Richard Gere, 76, and his co-star Diana Silvers, 28, were seen filming scenes for their upcoming film "Asymmetry" in New York City. The pair, who play an age-gap couple in the movie, were photographed sharing an ice cream cone on a park bench.

Gere was dressed in a button-down shirt and gray pants, while Silvers wore a red-knit shirt, khaki skirt, and a headband. They have been frequently spotted filming various scenes around the city in recent weeks. On one occasion, Gere had his arm around Silvers' waist as they walked, and in another, he wrapped his arm around her as they engaged in what appeared to be a deep conversation on a park bench.

The film is based on Lisa Halliday's 2018 novel of the same name. The book's synopsis describes the first part, "Folly," as the story of Alice, a young American editor, and her relationship with Ezra Blazer, a famous and much older writer. The film's logline indicates it will focus on the fictional love story between Alice, played by Silvers, and Ezra, portrayed by Gere. Their characters' initial eye contact in Central Park reportedly sparks a connection that leads them into a private world.

Edward Zwick is directing and producing the film, having worked on the screenplay with Halliday and Marshall Herskovitz. In real life, Gere is in an age-gap relationship with his wife, Alejandra Silva, 43. The couple began dating in 2014, married in 2018, and have two sons. Gere and Silva relocated to her native Spain in 2024 but returned to the U.S. briefly for the Fourth of July before Gere commenced filming "Asymmetry."
