Reese Witherspoon made an unannounced appearance on the set of the "Legally Blonde" prequel series, "Elle," surprising cast members including actor Jacob Moskovitz. Witherspoon, who originated the role of Elle Woods in the 2001 film, is executive producing the new show.

Moskovitz, who plays Miles, Elle's love interest in the series, recalled his initial confusion when told "Reese" was on set, as the show's stunt coordinator shares the same first name. "But no, it was Reese Witherspoon who was on set! So we went down and met her and took some photos. It was great," Moskovitz told The Post.

During her visit, Witherspoon offered the cast advice: "Drink water. Stay positive. Stay focused, get lots of rest, and be kind," Moskovitz recounted.

The series "Elle," now streaming on Prime Video, follows a teenage version of Elle Woods during her high school years in the 1990s. Lexi Minetree stars as the younger Elle.

Moskovitz also spoke about working with the late James Van Der Beek, who filmed his role as a mayoral candidate before his death from cancer in February at age 48. "We didn't have a ton of overlap, but he sat and ate lunch with us and talked with us. And he was just an absolute light on our set. We miss him very much," Moskovitz said. "We're really honored that he was a part of the show."

The premiere of "Elle" coincides with the 25th anniversary of the original "Legally Blonde" film. Cast and crew from the original movie also attended a celebration for the anniversary.

Moskovitz shared conversations with original cast members like Selma Blair, who he noted had undertaken extensive preparation for her role early in her career. He also reflected on how the original cast found the film's tone upon arriving on set, a sentiment he felt echoed on the set of "Elle."
