Rebel Wilson has relisted her two-bedroom apartment in Sydney’s Balmain for $2 million after withdrawing the property from auction in 2024, a $300,000 reduction from its previous asking price.

The apartment, tucked inside the heritage-listed Lever Brothers soap factory, was bought off the plan in 2018 for $1.8 million. Spread across two levels and described as having a "house-like" layout, the residence offers about 156 square metres of combined indoor and outdoor living space, including two balconies and a rooftop terrace with views of the central business district skyline and the Anzac Bridge.

On the entry level, the apartment features two bedrooms and a study area, while the master bedroom includes a walk-in wardrobe and ensuite. The upper-level kitchen is fitted with Carrara quartz stone benchtops, an integrated Liebherr refrigerator and a breakfast bar. Other fixtures include engineered oak floorboards, ducted air conditioning, custom joinery and double security parking equipped with an electric vehicle charging station.

Wilson first listed the property in June 2024 with an asking price of $2.3 million, then removed it from auction the following month. Her younger sister, Annachi "Anna" Wilson, later took over sales efforts for the unit.

The relisting comes after a series of high-value property transactions in Wilson’s recent real estate history. In 2022, the actress sold a renovated three-bedroom home in Birchgrove for $9.5 million, having purchased it in 2015 for $3.76 million, a gain of about $5.74 million. That same year she bought another Birchgrove property for $3.6 million through her company Camp Sugar Productions.

Wilson, 45, has also shared personal milestones and losses publicly in recent months. In July she announced the death of her grandmother at 95 and earlier marked the death of her grandfather at 97 in December. The announcements followed her marriage to Ramona Agruma: the couple legally wed in Sydney in December so Wilson’s elderly grandmother could attend, after an initial ceremony in Sardinia in September. Wilson said her sister Liberty officiated the legal wedding.

Real estate in inner Sydney suburbs such as Balmain has drawn attention from local and international buyers in recent years, with heritage conversions and apartment developments offering a mix of period character and modern amenities. Wilson’s relisting reflects the continued activity among celebrity sellers and investors who frequently trade high-end properties in the city.

The apartment is being marketed as an investment property; further details about campaign timing, inspections or offers were not immediately available.
