Narinder Kaur, a 53-year-old television personality and former "Big Brother" contestant, has responded to a social media user who criticized her bikini body. Kaur posted a photo of herself in swimwear on Instagram, subsequently sharing that a man had "zoom[ed] in and pick[ed] out my faults."
In a follow-up post, Kaur shared images showcasing her figure, stating, "This is how a REAL WOMAN looks like - loose skin, saggy, stretch marks. Ladies - we are PERFECT." She appeared in a red bikini while on holiday. Her fans offered messages of support in the comments section.
This incident follows a previous health scare in November, when Kaur was hospitalized after an overdose of the weight-loss drug Wegovy. She revealed that she had purchased the medication online after being unable to obtain it through the NHS and had been advised by doctors that she was overweight. Kaur stated that she resorted to buying the drug online after trying numerous diets and experiencing body shaming from trolls following posts of her holiday photos.
Kaur recounted taking weight-loss injections without professional medical guidance, describing the process of ordering the drugs online as a "biggest mistake ever." She indicated that it was easy to obtain the prescription by misrepresenting her needs. After experiencing no effects from her initial injection, she doubled the dose. Patients are typically advised to start on the lowest dosage and increase it gradually to allow the body to adjust and mitigate side effects.
Following the second injection, Kaur experienced severe nausea and vomiting, which left her bedridden and struggling to even drink water. She reported feeling so weak that she could barely sit up or speak. After 72 hours without improvement, she was taken to the hospital, where she was informed that there was no cure and that she would have to wait for the drug to pass through her system. Kaur, who holds a law degree, reflected on the experience, stating, "I nearly died of stupidity."
