Netflix's Western drama "Ransom Canyon" is set to return for its second season on Thursday, July 23, 2026, with new episodes arriving at approximately 3:00 a.m. ET.
The upcoming season will feature eight episodes, a reduction from the 10 episodes in its debut season. The series, based on Jodi Thomas' novel of the same name and developed by April Blair, follows the intertwined lives of families in Texas, featuring ranching, romance, and interpersonal drama.
Season 2 picks up six months after the events of the first season. Rancher Staten Kirkland is focused on reclaiming his legacy after being removed as trustee of his family's Double K Ranch. Meanwhile, musician Quinn O'Grady must navigate her feelings about her future, deciding whether to remain in the small town she once sought to escape or pursue opportunities in New York City. The narrative explores the complexities of their relationship.
Minka Kelly, who plays Quinn O'Grady, and Josh Duhamel, as Staten Kirkland, are returning for the new season. They will be joined by a mix of familiar faces from Season 1 and several new cast members. Among the new additions are actors from "House of Cards," "Off Campus," and "9-1-1: Nashville." Country music stars Thomas Rhett and Jordan Davis are also slated to appear.
The "Ransom Canyon" Season 2 cast includes Jack Schumacher as Yancy Grey, Marianly Tejada as Ellie Catawnee, Lizzy Greene as Lauren Brigman, Garrett Wareing as Lucas Russell, Casey W. Johnson as Kit Russell, Brett Cullen as Sam Kirkland, Patricia Clarkson as Claire, Ben Robson as Oliver, Heidi Grace Engerman as Sidney, Philip Winchester as Sheriff Dan Brigman, Steve Howey as Levi, Justin Johnson Cortez as Kai Flores, Kenneth Miller as Freddie, Lauren Glazier as Angie O’Grady, and Tatanka Means as Jake Longbow.
As a Netflix original series, "Ransom Canyon" is exclusively available to subscribers. Netflix offers various subscription plans, starting at $7.99 per month for a standard plan with ads, with prices increasing for ad-free and 4K streaming options.
